    Federal Primers Pierce. Heads up

Any frequency with Fed GM205m's failure, lets say in the last 7 or 8 years?

No nothing, I have looked at the bolt face under a magnify light and did not see anything or feel anything. Just looked again, the only marks on the bolt face are the three etchings from the failed primers. All three are cuts nothing sticking up or a burr.

What they said If you have primers in the house with cleaning products such as ammonia or other copper removing products for gun cleaning in the area not good. Just the vapors are bad over time. I still think that is a stretch. 10 year old primers and no history of failure is what they told me...

That is my plan If I would have the bolt faced the barrel would have to be set back for proper head space. Just wait till it needs a new barrel and fix all. I shot it a lot after the primers faulted and it still shoots fine.

That black line is a split. Federal told me that was a classic example of Stress corrosion cracking. I asked if it was a primer pocket issue and they said no.

Sorry but there is nothing wrong with the bolt face except the three etchings. The etchings are from the failed primers.

They were random. The bolt face is fine except for the etching even now it is fine to shoot. I shot it several times after the last primer failure.
