The biggest determining factor is O-jive, and since SMK's are Tangent o-jive, and not secant o-jive, they are much more forgiving to "jump" than secant. Good Luck out there!

Luppy claims a good eye-relief, but using the 6.5-20 doesn't prove it. It's difficult to find a "happy medium" when trying to mount this scope. Either your too close at one magnification, or too far away for the other extreme. Those are not "cheap" scopes either. The lower end starts around...

No problem, 'Ol Montana Marine has used those 208's at over 1800 yards in his .308, which is a Factory barreled Remington 700 VS LH 1-12 twist, AND IT WORKS. It also stabilizes 155 Scenars very well at extended ranges...check out his posts, and they always have great pics too. Good Luck...
