585 yards with a 28N and the 195 Berger running 3050. This rifle has been a pleasure to shoot, and the bullet has been very effective on game. I killed a mountain goat and an elk last year. This is a rather limited sample, but so far so good.

It was a great hunt! Had to work hard, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I shot a 6 1/2 year old billy that was 9 1/4. Thanks for your help!

Things are going well, that is until the fires started. The roads are closed to Black Lake as of today. Hopefully they will be open soon. I have a couple good billies spotted, or had them spotted. I'm sure things are going to be much different now.

I'm with Grayfox. I just cant walk away from the 6.5x284. Great sectional density off the 140 combined with lack of recoil, and 6.5 BC's are hard to argue with. Cheers, Levi

I'm having a 28 nosler built also. I have been back and forth between reloader 33 and retumbo. Living in Idaho my temp swings are not real large in the areas I hunt. I'm guessing if I did load development at say 40 degrees I would not see much of a POI change out to 1,000 if the temps ranged...

I run retumbo with my 6.5 x284 with great results. 55-58gr. Levi
