If you're going with a factory rifle, Tikka is awesome. The only draw back is mag length if you want to run heavy bullets in a magnum. If you're looking at a custom, Terminus is the way, I have a short action Zeus, long action Zeus, short action Apollo Lite and am waiting for a another short...

When the question of what factory rifle comes up, Tikka is almost always the answer. They chamber in 6.5 PRC now which would fit your needs perfectly. Another fine deer cartridge is the 6mm creed with 103gr to 115gr bullets

You say duds. I'm assuming since you didn't mention a stuck bullet, you got a click instead of a pop or boom when you pulled the trigger?That means your primer isn't going off, can't blame the powder for that. Sounds like you have a rifle or primer issue.
