Very accurate scope on .300 Win. Mag. which will aide you to find accuracy which you have never obtained. On the .338 Lapua you make unbelievable shots from general public.

Yes, 1000 yards is a long/long way ; yet when you have watched 5,000 to10,000(7.62X51) & a Gov.30.06 before that you are correct a long way. I personally like the .338 Lapua ( new ball game in town) with a Night Force or (my choice Schmit-Bender) scope. The .300 Win. Mag. with your scope...

I have shot all three Plus another .338(LUPA) & of the three previously mentioned I would go with the .338 Winchester Mag. & a 250 grain bullet. When in Alaska I talked with 10 guides & 5 had .338 Win. Mag. & 5 with .375 H&H!
