77 tmk would be my choice.

If your rifle will shoot the 60gr Vmax well it does a nice job. Not always fur friendly but more so than some other offerings. I have one rifle that likes the 75 gr BTHP and I've also had good luck with that. I've had luck with it not exiting but I suspect if it does exit it will make a mess.

I'm also new here...but even though I'm gonna disagree a little with you. Regardless of what a guide was carrying I wouldn't hunt the big bears with the 300 win mag. I'd at least step up to the 338 and probably the 375 H&H. I'd rather be overgunned a little on a big bear and I'm certainly not...
