I too was disappointed with my velocity. 210 grain bergers, h-1000 powder, 30" barrel. During workup I shot 3 loads at 88 grains (velocity of 3020) but all three showed significant cratering in the primers. I backed off a 1 grain and this disappeared. I was hoping for better velocity but it...

2-3 " groups at 100 yards was the best I could do. I've got a new barrel on order for it now.

Went to the range today to check to drop chart out. And was shooting 10" left at 327 yards. Came back to 100 to check the zero and I was 3 1/2" left and 1 1/2" high. Beginning to believe it is the scope. Will be calling Leupold on Monday.

Problem solved! It was the scope. I went shooting yesterday and was getting good data (although I had to re-zero as the scope was off about an 1/2 moa at 200 yards. Pulled out the chrony. Then shot 350 and 465 yards. The chrony and calculated velocities were close (off by about 50 fps). Close...

At least its not just me. That will be this weeks project.

correct. I just learned that little piece of information. It should have moved 26.175" not 25". I reran the numbers but I still have a calculated velocity difference of about 200 fps. The close range gives me 2872, the far range gives me 2695.
