I have bought insurance thru my homeowners just before the trip and cancel it when I get back. They charge you for the 6mth term but will refund remaining time when you cancel. Fairly reasonable this way.
Been using Sitka Gear for 4 years now. I have their mid weight and heavy bibs and coat along with a few accessories . Their gear is top notch and they have the best warranty in the business.
I’ve had my 30 Nosler for 5 years and it has become my go to cartridge. I haven’t had any trouble finding components . It’s easy to reload. Great long range cartridge
Just set up a 25/06 with 121gr hammers. They require a minimum 1 in 8 twist. Ours was a 7.5. It was one of the easiest set ups I’ve done. With the bullets out there I’d go at least 1 in 8

ive had a Summit since 04 and it has been great. I keep mine in the garage since I couldn’t get it in the basement. Summit is one of the heaviest for size safes out there and weight is strength. I would get a key pad and buy the biggest safe you can afford because none of them are big enough.
Since you don’t reload I would choose 300WM so that you always have ammo, but I would send the gun out to a custom reloader if you want to hunt out to 800 yards to maximize accuracy.
