4ked Horn, I guess I need a little training on "mils". What I did was convert comeup moa values to mils by multiplying by 3.4377 which seems correct to me. Where did I go wrong?
I'll check on the mils again, since I'm not used to them, it didn't strike me as out of line.
As far as the 1500 yard zero goes, a suggested work around. Set your zero to dead on @ 150, click calculate. Divide the path value @ 1500 by 10 and enter the result as your zero height @ 150. Should...
Well I've made a few mods already. I added a graph capability, multiple traces/loads but only one output item at a time. b1g_b0re discovered a bug but I don't think it's a show stopper since I haven't encountered it as yet. I also added mils as an output option and added the current zero...

The PDA version of Exbal accomplishes this beautifully. Everything can be operated off of the first screen without getting complicated at all.

I went out and looked at the Exbal site, unfortunately, they don't have any sample screens for the PDA product that I could...

What's stopping you from using your own BCs today?

Nothing. It is just that out of 8 of my programs, only 2 have a window to calculate this. Since we're coming up with the ultimate program, I just thought it should have this.

That sounds like a pretty easy addition to SureShot. I'm glad you described the process you use, that probably isn't the method I would have come up with on my own.
Since Joe was kind enough to explain how quote works, I'll put it to use.

A quick and easy layout would be best because I would fully intend to put the program on my pocket pc and use in the field if the range warranted it. The pocket pc's are better than packing around 20 drop...
The way I normally use the calculator is to zero the rifle the way I want and then shoot group at 200 and 300, unfortunately that's the length of my range. I record the conditions as closely as possible and the the impact point of the various groups. I then set the atmospheric parameters, the...
What you are describing is exactly the intent of the PDA program I wrote. It downloads your zero data saved from the ballistics calculator to provide the base. You then enter the range, incline and current atmosperic conditions and it displays the comeups both elevation and windage to take the...
To be real honest with you I don't remember what the problem with the basic calculator is for sure but it seems to me thatit has to do with larger than normal font settings and the method I used for the display doesn't handle it quite right. Ever since I started working on the advanced version...
I tried to get a hold of some bullets to feed my 338 from Richard last spring/summer and he couldn't seem to get hold of the jackets to ship my order. Has that changed?
