As a vertical hunter I have moved on from thinking x bows should be banned. Whatever gets people in the woods is ok by me and yes xbows are easier but you still have to get close and hunt to kill

I have used RL26 and H100v with good success but have settled on H4350 as the best in mine. Even with a 1/9 twist I top out at 162gr eldx as heaviest I can stabilize. 150gr accubonds shoot great as well. awesome caliber, probably my favorite
I have killed more deer and pigs with 125gr nosler ballistic tips out of a 308 than anything. That combo on mid sized game is flat out awesome. No need for apologies for 3000 fps nosler BT on deer
I have had outstanding performance from the 162 eldx out of a 280AI. At 110 yards a chunk of lung 1/3 the size of a tennis ball fell out of the exit wound. Seen some dramatic wounding before but never that much tissue on the ground. Buck made it 30 yards which was impressive

Got the email as a savage email subscriber and was very interested in the impulse. Clicked the link and the weight was listed at 11lbs on their website. Sounds like they might have fixed an error which is good news. 8lb range puts it into "very interested" again.
