I have had good luck with my Savage FV & TR .22 rifles. The mags need some attention from time to time though.

I like my JP triggers & recently installed a CMC drop-in in my DPMS Panther Bull. This is one nice feeling trigger!

If you have a MATCO tool dealer, check with him. I bought a regular click type in/lb torque wrench from my dealer a while back. works good. Snap-On or MAC probably have the same thing. I also have a screwdriver looking in/lb torque wrench by Snap-On.

I have both 20" & 24" AR15's. Both are equal out to 300 yds, with the 24" holding a better group beyond that. The 20 incher dosen't give up much, but there is a difference.

My Tikka Varmint rifles, a .223 S/S & a .308 in a XLR chassis are tac-drivers. The new chassis changed the .308 from a sub MOA to almost a one-holer! The actions on both rifles are butter smooth.

Thats a great 200 yd target! I like my Savage TR past 100 yds. Someday, if the quits blowing around here I'll try a 200 yd group. Untill that happens I'll just keep hitting the steel plates I have set up out to 250. gun)

I still use my Caldwell, & it works OK but a Kestrel is in my very near future.
