Using Quick Load for Optimum Barrel Timing and OCW Node Matches

Crazy, last night I started working on this exact method for my 223 rem. I am just making preliminary notes but I find this interesting. I will not start at these speeds but looks good on paper so far.

Buy once cry once new optic - seeking experienced advice

I own the K624i and the NF NX8 4x32. Both are great but when it comes time to buy another scope I will be taking home the ZCO.

Changing powder lots within a powder

If I know in advance that I have 2 different lots I combine them. I would rather have 2 consistent pounds than 1 of each I have to rework. Especially now that many places have maximun quantities. I buy 2 lbs from Midsouth and 2lbs from powder valley and mix evenly. In the construction...

    Best Rings Under $100?

I second the MDT premier rings. They are within budget and for me have worked great on my 6 creedmoor.

    What .284 rifle to build

.284 winchester is one of the top calibers in the bench rest community. If I were to do a short action it would be .284 winchester. 28 Sherman is a long action.

    4166

I use 4166 in my 6gt with Hornady 108 eldm. 33.6gr puts me right at 2929fps under 1/2" group at 100 yards. Try the hodgdon reloading site, they had 13 load combinations using 4166 in a .243 winchester. https://www.hodgdonreloading.com/reloading-data-center?rdc=true&type=54

What powder for your 6mm Creedmoor

I use H4350. 40.2gr in a 25.5" 1-7.5T Brux getting 2930fps with 112gr MB, lapua brass, cci 450. I tested up to 40.4 with no signs of pressure. I just ordered StaBall that I want to test but you can't go wrong with H4350.

    Brass annealing machine

I also got the AGS unit a couple of months ago. Works great so far. It did take about 8 weeks from order to delivery.

SOLD/EXPIRED Fiocchi Large Rifle Primers on RE

I tried to order today but they had a 30ct minimum? That is 4500 primers? The cost was $840 + shipping and hazmat. I would have been ok with 5 or 10ct but not 30? I wonder what is going on?

SOLD/EXPIRED Fiocchi Large Rifle Primers on RE

I am always hesitant ordering online with the added hazmat fees, etc. but i to am becoming "that guy". My local stores have been dry over a year. I thought I was prepared for the shortage but now find myself running out or low on all components. Gunbroker makes my stomach turn but I have...

I may get beaten down here

The Witt clamp on muzzle breaks are custom made. You have to take measurements at the muzzle and 1-1/2" back and they custom make it to your size. I put one on a Tikka T3X lite because the barrel was so thin at the muzzle (.620 if I remember correctly) I didn't want to try and get it threaded...

From the good people at Powder Valley

That is the difference between stock on hand and When I get a new barrel, I try and get all the components necessary to burn out that barrel, nothing more. I only buy what I plan on using and consider it stock on hand. I have a new barrel ordered but haven't picked up any components yet...

    Which ballistic calculator you using?

Thanks for the input. I guess I never really cared that much about .1 or .2 because the steel targets were big enough to compensate. As I transition to paper targets my group size is becoming more important. Justin
