Fantastic! I appreciate the input... I recently came across a Remington 700 BDL 300 RUM. So I will have another option for LR. I will be moving to WY in under a month and after we get settled in, I will buy my first reload equipment. I will start off with 357 MAG, 45 ACP, 338 WM, 300 RUM...

Maybe this may not be a good choice then... I will just weigh my options when I get out to WY. I may end up building a 338 Lapua...

Thanks, I won't be able to shoot it until I get out to WY. As soon as I can get some rounds on target, Then I will be able to make my decision as to where I will go with it.

It is blued.... I will definitely do a lot of research on what I'm wanting. I will also wait until I move out to WY to make any decisions so I can see actual LRR in person and that should help me decide. I definitely appreciate all of your input. Hopefully some other guys will give there .02¢

I will look into seeing what a reasonable budget would be. I have no clue what to set as of now. What is your opinion on a general "on average" budget for a build? I tend to overbuy because I'd always rather have too much, than not enough.

I'm getting ready to move to Gillette, WY. so I will be doing a fair share of shooting in a lot of different weather. I will be doing a bunch of shots on targets but I'm really hoping to get a few nice Antelope hunts in as well. I'm guessing that a nice synthetic stock should be in my future. So...

That's good to know. I had a local guy offer me $100 per box but I said I'd let him know. I may hold on to them for a while.

Ok guys, A guy owed me some money and didn't have it all so he also traded some things. One being some Black Talon 338 WM rounds. 5 boxes, 100 rnds. I figured I'd take them since I have a 338 WM. Can you guys tell me if these are decent rounds and if I should sell them or just put them...

I won't get rid of it. It's a great gun to have in my collection. I'm definitely going to start talking to people about beginning my reloading adventure.

I agree, it does have some pop... Hopefully when the time comes, I will chose the right combo.
