I agree and that is why I like the heavy bullets. Even with a bad quartering they still have enough mass to get the job done. But I would rather let an animal walk off than knowingly to take a bad quartering shot.

A blind man could have tracked this deer. Needless to say it did not go very far. Shot placement was a little high. Missed the heart, but still got both lungs.

I’ve got plenty of different powders, but I am currently limited to WLRM primers.

Caught this one in my garden. He was looking at me and I hit him just above his left eye. 6.5CM with 143 gr ELDX at 70 yards. Never seen an exit hole like this even with my larger magnums.
