Calculating MOA group size at odd ranges?

    yards x 0.01047 will give you 1 MOA at that Yardage. 123 x 0.01047 = 1.287 " = 1 MOA Divide Group inch size into 1.287 0.9 / 1.287 = .699 moa group

Custom reamer for 7 Rem Mag and 195 Berger, any thoughts? 5/28 Chamber drawing added

I always figure the 5R barrel chatter came from the number of Cutting flutes being out of sync with the Number of lands. Basically there will be 1 flute not cutting while the others will. This will alternate as the barrel turns. But it must not be to bad. There are a lot of gun smiths chambering...

    Terminus Apollo Hammers

I think Keith (shooter in question) has a youtube channel where he is shooting golf balls at 1100. And no i didn't see the video, I seen it in person. Keith is an amazing shooter and wind caller. He has taught me a lot over the few years I have known him. For all those who don't believe just...

    22-250 AI ELDM 88gr

I run all the Bullets you mention in my 22-250 1-7 twist. Never had an issue. I believe you have a problem with your barrel. It's doing something to the bullets as it's going down the barrel. I had a friend running a 22 creedmoor with the same issue. It ended up being the barrel. Lands maybe...

7mm RM splitting necks 2 firings

I can see the crease in Brass from the picture. Had the same thing happen with Winchester 22-250 brass. Any piece of brass that had small vertical lines at the neck shoulder junction would split the neck on 2nd firing. I don't know if the brass is too soft or it's just thin in this area because...

    McGowen prefits

I bought a Remage barrel from them about a year ago. Like some of the post above the guy who answered the phone was very rude and acted like I was bothering him. The Barrel was a 1-7 twist 22-250. I was asked to send Dummy rounds with the Longest bullet that I would be using, I sent three. The...

22-250 95 gr SMK, Winchester Staball Powder

Not really sure of the Comparable Burn Rate. I haven't found anything concrete yet. Some saying it's close to H4350 but faster than H4831, Also I read it's close to Superformance. I guess I will just have to do it from scratch. Thanks for the replies.

22-250 95 gr SMK, Winchester Staball Powder

Wanting to try the New Winchester Staball 6.5 Powder in my Fast Twist 22-250 with the 95gr SMK. Anyone have thoughts on a good starting point. The highest published data I can find is for a 70gr Bullet. (Min 35.0) - (Max 38.6). Just looking for a little direction.

    AutoTrickler V2 Thrower

I have built my own version of the AutoTrickler but lack the AutoThrow add-on that came out with V2. I was hoping that someone upgraded and just has them sitting around and would like to sell. I don't need the Motor or Lee Hopper. I just need the AutoThrow Base and with Belts and Pulleys. I...

    Optic help

Vortex PST Gen 2 is a great scope. I shoot with a guy that has a Night-force NXS and there isn't hardly any difference between glass clarity. Also the PST Gen 2 has a great Zero stop. I have dialed out to 1200 yards at least a thousand times and right back to Zero. Never an issue. I promise you...

    22-250 AI 80 and 90 gr bullets

I run RL-26 in my 22-250 with 95 SMK. Couldn't get the Speed i wanted with H4350 and RL-22 just didn't shoot well. If RL-26 didn't work out I was going to try H1000 or Superformance. Still might.

    Advice on Re-Barreling my 22-250

I just built a 22-250 with 1-7 twist throated for the 95 SMK. I believe i could have gotten away with a 1-7.5 twist. I'm shooting the 95s @ 3050fps with plenty of room for speed. I could get around 3200fps with RE-26 but didn't see the need when it shot so well at 3050. I might get a little more...

    Drats!!

    So if you do the math. A 20MOA Rail At 5 inches should be .029 not .147 20 moa is 20.94" @ 100 yards 20.94" / 100 = 0.2094" per yard 0.2094 / 3 = 0.0698" per foot 0.0698 / 12 is 0.0058 per inch 0.0058 * 5 is 0.0290'' end to end over 5 inches Or from the Machinist Handbook Or 20 MOA over 5 " 20...

Scopes, what's the clearest 5-25 power?

I had a similar issue until I went back to the eye doctor and got my prescription checked for my contacts. The focus is based on 20-20 to my understanding.
