Thanks for the replies. Mainly I'm looking at the 338 Lapua Magnum for hunting. We have nilgai antelope in South Texas an some species of elk in West Texas. I know they could be took down with lesser calibers. Other than that, I think it would be a awesome cartridge to own.......
