New TBAC Magnus line with RR (recoil reduction)

I ordered a Magnus S RR BA 338 to use on 300NMI and a future 338 build. I am hoping the RR makes a suppressed 338 hunting rifle possible.

    LPR 338 Reaper

2900fps out of 28" doesn’t seem slow especially if it speeds up...I have a Lapua improved running 300 Berger at 3100fps out of 32" barrel with N570, but that is 4" more barrel!....13lbs seems like a perfect compromise for that round in a hunting rifle...any lighter and it would be a hot mess

Any good 80 lb bows come out recently?

These velocities were with a 490gr arrow.

Any good 80 lb bows come out recently?

You are definitely at a level above me which was my only point in replying to your response. I have to work at it to comfortably draw an 80lb bow.

Any good 80 lb bows come out recently?

I am happy just getting 3x10 reps at my body weight of 240lbs! No danger I am going to 1X rep 480! A lot of it seems to be conditioning with the bow. If I haven't shot much through the winter drawing 80lb is an effort. I might start with 12-18 arrows per session and work my way back up to 3...

Any good 80 lb bows come out recently?

I shoot an 80lb draw because it is comfortable for me to draw. I can shoot 3 dozen arrows in a practice session without becoming exhausted. I hunt open country where longer shots are typical. I target practice out to 100yds. A 60yd shot feels comfortable in hunting conditions. I like having the...

Any good 80 lb bows come out recently?

29.5" draw. Velocities were 299 for FX6, 293 Lift 33 and 286 for Mach 34. Easton 5mm FMJ. Used same arrow. I will check arrow weight tonight.

Any good 80 lb bows come out recently?

Just purchased Mathews Lift 33 with 80lb mods and upgraded grip. It is slightly slower than my 80lb Obsession FX6, however much less angry on the release, quieter and lighter. Shot back to back with PSE Mach 34 set at 80lbs. Mach 34 was super smooth draw, but slightly slower than Lift 33. Just...

    Downloading 7PRC?

Both of my daughters were more concerned about the bang than the kick. They hesitate to pull the trigger because of the bang. You need to find something where they don't hesitate. I had some luck loading down for practice and stepping it up for hunting with a 308. They had no idea that the elk...

    Reloading Advice

There are two distinctly different paths. Reloading to produce cost effective quality ammo and reloading to improve performance. At 300yds or less the round to round or box to box variation of factory ammo doesn't make much difference. It always cracks me up when someone buys a fresh box of...

    Reloading Advice

I started out reloading in college because I couldn't afford ammo for my 300WM and 44Mag. The entire RCBS setup was $270ish, powder was $12.90 per lb. A reloaded round for my Ruger M77 300WM was $0.25 and it would shoot a 3/4" group or better with a 180gr BTSP hand loads. I ran the factory...
