I don't know if you'll ever answer that question completely because it's an individual thing. Sometimes, like the last day of the season, I'll take a non-trophy buck, which was once a trophy hunt, but now becomes a meat hunt.
I also do meat hunts (antlerless).
It's an individual choice. How accurate do you want to be? Do you have the money to get to that point?
For me, I'm happy with what I have and the accuracy of my rifles. :)
Let's try this again....

$425 cash, personal check, or cashier's check. No trades please.
Shipped to your address when payment is received and cleared.
Hmmm..the Sears catalog......I looked at the toys until I realized there were better things to play with than toys. But Santa never brought me any of them.
;)
I've got a couple of promising loads which need further evaluation. The 146 gr Hammer Hunter with IMR 4350 looks to be a very fast and accurate load so far.

Thank you.
That's a good idea if you're buying in a gun store. The last two rifles I've bought were sight unseen from a seller here and from EuroOptics.
Both were Seekins, PH2 and a PH3, and both have been shooters.
Pool Noodle.....6" length and slice it lengthwise. Slip it over the partially open window and shut off the engine.
I use that for photography and glassing. :)
