Never been bear hunting and booked a trip outside of Cascade, MT for last week. Trip was supposed to be 5 days and got a bear the first day. Not the biggest but I was there more for the experience than anything else. 5.5ft about 200 pounds. 300 win mag from 225 yards.

Going for a hunt in May and just wanted to double check something. The deadline to submit for a tag is March 31st, but I can buy a bear license whenever I want correct? It doesn't fall under the application like elk or deer.
