I shoot a Rem 141 in 35 cal, I have used both rem 180 core lokt and Speer 180 hot core with pretty good success with deer and bear in the thick brush in Pa.

I have used their 6.5x55 brass and bullets along with 7x57 brass and bullets, no complaints, they have worked just fine for me.

I have used Winchester primers for years, never had a problem.

I tried staball in my 6.5x55 imp with 140 gr. fusions and was very pleased. used 45.0 gr with WLR primer and Winchester brass at 100yds the groups measured .335 with a vel. of 2772

I'm thinking about a brown bear hunt and was think about using my 8mm/338 Winchester mag with 200gr Barnes bullets. would this gun and load work or should I rework my plans.

When my daughter started out (12 yrs old) I got her a 7mm-08 in a Winchester 70 youth model and she did a outstanding job with that gun. 140gr. rem core lokt bullets.
