Going to be ordering a barrel from Preferred Barrel Blanks and I see an option is to have the barrel lapped. I ordered one from them before and it wasn’t an option. Is it worth the extra cost to have it lapped or not? What does it really mean to be lapped?

I’m looking at the Zermatt Ti3 titanium action and I already have two origins but sometimes wish I had a lighter option. The only thing I’m wondering is will my shouldered prefit barrels for the Origin fit and headspace correctly on the Ti3?

Anyone gets hands-on with any one of these rifles? Heard a lot about them a year ago or so and not so much since. Was interested in buying one for sure, especially if Savage kept the same barrel tenon on it so you could switch barrels fairly easily. Any experiences?
