    Picatinny Rails?

Alright. So I regret what I said to sideflipcar and apologize. I wish I had never said it. I didn't realize the thread was older than dirt. And I should have responded to his comment how I did. His comment about my dad (that I never had) ****ed me off as well. I did feel his original comment was...

    Picatinny Rails?

I appreciate you teaching me something new (about air guns) Thanks for that. Thanks, hope you have a great weekend. Respect is earned, not something you are entitled too. Happy shootin' gun)

    Picatinny Rails?

First off, do you just troll the site and comment on anything I say? Second off, you are wrong and sound arrogant. You can watch this video, I'm sure this guy has forgotten more about scopes than you will ever know. Vortex Optics - Mounting A Precision Riflescope

    Picatinny Rails?

That is fine if there is a little wiggle room. When mounting the scope make sure you push your rings forward, towards the end of the barrel. Make sure they are tight up against that rail. If not you may experience a shift in impact as the scope rings slide forward (be it minimally) over time.

    Turrent adjustment confusion

I would recommend thinking of your adjustments in MOA not inches. MOA is an angular measurement, kinda like a piece of pie going out if that makes sense. 1 MOA at 100 yards, will be different than 1 MOA at 200 yards, and so on. I understand MOA and thinking of it in inches just confuses me.

    Vortex Viper- quick review

And I'm sure there are plenty of people that can get a black eye just from poor shooting form, not lack of eye relief.

    Vortex Viper- quick review

Yes I am sure, I had the scope in front of me and went through the entire mag range (starting on the lowest) and did not have to move my head what so ever to get the full sight picture. In my mind that is the definition of staying consistent. And look at there specs on there line up for...

    Vortex Viper- quick review

I understand eye relief, and when i say across the board, i am referring to the entire line up of PST's. And what you say is that is warped. Its not the eye relief changing, its how finicky the eye box is. It stays at 4" regardless of how technical you want to get. I can keep my head in the...

Vortex PST Model Scopes on Big Magnums

Don't tighten them past 15in/lbs and you shouldn't have any issues. If you torque the **** out of your rings you have a potential of crushing the tube, which can lead to the types of failures they were talking about.

    Vortex Viper- quick review

A Viper PST 6-24x50 would have a 30mm tube. Not sure what NF's eye relief is, but the PST lineup has 4" across the board.

Vortex PST Model Scopes on Big Magnums

As long as your rings are torqued down to the right in/lbs you should have no problems

    Vortex Newbie Question

Hey BigHunter, I have not put on a custom turret from them, but what i have been told is that they come with instructions, and are very easy to do. They said it takes like 5 minutes. The only thing I would reccomend, and it sounds like you are well on your way, is collecting range data for...

    Vortex Viper HD 10x42 binocs

I've looked through the Viper HD's and think they are real nice for the price point. Never looked through the Swaro's, but I'm thinking you should compare the Swaro's to the Razor HD's not the Viper. The Razors are awesome.

    vortex viper 4-16x50 vx 6-24

The 4-16 will be more than enough to get you to 500 yards. You could also consider the fact that you are gaining 8x on the high end and only losing 2x on the low end, which is not a bad trade off. As far as clarity goes with a 4-16x and a 6-24x on 16x I would think the 6-24x will have the...
