You’re 300 RUM will be just fine.

Big whitetail aren’t super common in Wyoming, but I’ve been lucky enough to take a handful of good ones over the years in the 140 to 170 range. I’ve seen a couple others that were bigger, and a buddy picked up a set of non typical sheds that are pushing 200.

My experience with the post New Haven Winchester rifles is extremely positive. Great shooting and very well made.
