I would go with any of these 7MM RM, 7MM WBY, 28 Nosler, 280AI, all more than then have the 500 yard range.

I like the Ruger scout site in 450 bushmaster, 1895 Marlin 45-70 or 450 Marlin. All short in length and all weather plus plenty of *** for hogs.

I have both, the 257 Wby is a semi custom 27.5 “ NWPB barrel, elk horn lam stock, jewell trigger, Rem 700 action. The 25-06 is a Rem 700 old style wood BDL. I love them both the 257 is a 1/2 moa shooter the 25-06 about 5/8”. Have had my best luck with nosler 115 B/T’s.

Exactly why I didn’t use CH4D for dies the price was great but the turn around time was ridiculously long. I went to Hornady custom die 90 days and the price was half of CH4D. I had reamer, fire formed cases and a print. I have other Hornady custom dies there nice , well made. Just my 2 cents on it.

I recently purchased a Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 28 Nosler and it’s a great rifle. Cost by the time I scoped it was about the same a custom I had built by John Beanland in 7MM Wby. Both are extremely accurate.

Well I own both calibers, a 308,30-30 in a 788 and a 06AI. I own a 280, 7 WBY, 7CBS, 28 Nosler. My 7MM’s are my favorite I never really had a strong love affair with the 30 caliber I’ve sold most of them threw the years. My real love is the 358 caliber.

I have a very good friend who had been looking for components for his 223 AR. He hadn’t had a lot of luck so I took him a 1 lb of powder, 500 55gr. & a brick of SRP’s. I had more than enough to spare and it’s nice to help those that appreciate the help.

I’m in the same set up. At 65 I’ll stand my ground start out long range and work my way in. We have plenty of water, game and tons of woods to hide in . And Load for everything I own. If I die it will be in a fight.

Yesterday I did the same had a chance to buy 5 boxes of 28 nosler I took 2 and left the rest for someone else.
