i know at the gun shop i work at we just hit it with a 25-30 psi blast just to remove the clear coat. the rest can just be base coated over and re dipped. any more questions you can PM me.

i have a Savage Arms Model 11 Trophy Predator Hunter XP Realtree Hardwoods Snow Bolt-Action Rifle in 22-250 and love it. have a vortex crossfire 6-24 x 40 scope. i sure do love this round has alot of punch with little damage to the pelt.
