    Stop neck sizing your brass!!!

So what you are saying is I should go back to a sub Moa full length resize load and forgo the 1/4 Moa Neck size load because that’s what bench rest shooters use. Right that’s smart. If I had a rifle that prefers fl sizing I would. But then my barrels aren’t an inch and a half thick and I don’t...

    Stop neck sizing your brass!!!

What am I supposed to be impressed? I can shoot one hole groups with just neck sizing already with 2 cals. If I full length resize can I then do no hole groups

    Stop neck sizing your brass!!!

No, neck sizing works for me. I have never had the problems he talks about. It sort of amuses me how people stuff it up, then come out with these hard and fast Rules that everyone else now has to follow. Reloading hundreds of 223 at a time neck sizing only without having too trim every 3rd...

Anyone here shoot the 303 calibers?

Grafs used to do 150 gr SST p/n3135g for the 303 got them down to well below MOA in a wildcat but I have a new barrel B.C is a reasonable 0.410 as well. I still have near 200 projectiles hope to get more

Anyone have any luck with a good .17HMR?

I have a Ruger 77/17 varmint stainless that can be extremely accurate when you get a good brick of ammunition, have replaced the trigger with something much much better. It runs a Zeiss 4-12 no trouble to shoot 150 yards. Have tried weight sorting the bad lots of ammo which helps a bit

    6.5mm-303 Epps data

Done a little more development with Reloder 17 more or less to prove quick loads predictions 174gr got 2696fps avg, 150gr got 2906fps avg, 125gr got 3068 avg. OCW for 174 should be 2752fps, 125gr 3082fps which are below my limit for a No4 action. So if my action was stronger like yours I could...

7mm Rem. Mag vs 300 Win. Mag

It's funny how the original question was best for deer to 600-700 yards turned into elk at a 1000yd. My option would be to go with the 7 mm because it will kill just as well as the 300 at those distances on that animal with less recoil. If he said elk it would be different for sure. As for...

VX6... any reason not to buy

Twice the price of a vortex PST, probably is a little pricey to go on a 223. How far you plan on shooting

    243win / 87gr btsp loads

87 Hornady v-max is what I use with AR2213sc ( Hodgon 4831sc) but I'm over book max so won't post weight. But it works well with 105 amax as well. Get around 1/4 moa (best is 0.131inch) with 87 and a bit over 1/2 Moa with 105's for 3 shot groups, my rifle is a hunter weight not a varmint rifle

Losing velocity...it's not the chrono..any ideas

Try not to change to many variables at once and get yourself a notebook so you can keep track of what's going on and when. I'd resize only first then once all the cases are exactly the same you can then draw a fair comparison.

    Chronograph Weirdness

I hardly have any issues with my chrono, I get the very very rare ---- I used to use a 22lr to verify now I use my 17hmr to verify. Basically you shoot the rim fire across it before you start the 22 was around 1220 fps from memory, the 17 hmr Winchester will run a bit over 2500 so these rounds...

Dialing vs. Holdover For Long Range Hunting

It's good to experiment with different options to find what works for you. As I'm getting older for some reason I'm finding it more difficult to estimate ranges when hunting especially when there's shadows around. So my range finder is becoming more and more essential, so have been experimenting...

Load Development Ruger Precision Rifle .243

Interested to know if there's a difference in all the practice the shooters have been having, so if you went back to the start of the load development and reshot a couple of those more promising ones, see if they shrink because you're "shooting fit" so to speak.

Anybody use the Bushnell AR 223 4-18x40

I've got one which is my second one because the first one wouldn't hold zero. But the new one seems to work fine I can twist the dials and come back to 0 repeatedly have taken it out to 400 meters with my 243. The clicks appear to be out though my testing has shown about 9 mm per click at 100...
