I just bought a new Savage 111 in 300 Win Mag. (don’t tell the wife) I looked through the manual and I couldn’t find any information on how to break in the barrel. Could anyone out there help me with this? Any help would be appreciated

The scope is a Leupold VX3 3.5x10x50mm, rings anb base are Leupold as well. The rifle is a Weatherby Vanguard 7mm Rem Mag. The rifle has had some custom work done to it.

My scope is running out of internal adjustment rtavel before I get properly sighted in. How can I obtain more travel? Thanks for the help.
