Does muller sell their chokes direct or maybe make the different types in batches? I looked on their website but most were out of stock. Also what makes the mullers better than others?

Sierra spitzer boat tail, game kings, or even the newer tipped game kings. I used 124 hammer hunters last year but I don’t feel that anything fancy is necessary inside of 200 yards. The spitzer bt is my favorite and is used by everyone in our hunting party with great results.

I agree with birddog and his comments on tss. If you can swallow the cost for it, it’s in a completely separate league. Just make sure your choke is rated for it if going that route.

That should be a good one. Pair the choke up with some long beard xrs and I’d be shocked if it didn’t shoot to 50-60. I prefer 5s but have shot 6s as well.

I have the older weatherby sa-459 turkey model and it’s been very reliable. It does kick like a mule though! I’m not sure if the element has the same components or not though. Have you had good luck with it so far?

I’ve taken it apart many times and everything that you can see outside of the receiver mechanically appears to be in working order. The issue comes in with the parts that I can’t see internally, I think at least. I’ll more than likely try to pull everything apart internally tonight.
