REMINGTON 700 BARRELED ACTIONS from PTG

Just trying to help anyone that's been waiting patiently and hasn't had the best experience with PTG. I waited 3 months for a bolt order and it was prior to these actions being sold. When I measured the o.d of the bolts they had taken off an extra .003" from what I wanted. Luckily I bought...

REMINGTON 700 BARRELED ACTIONS from PTG

I have a factory .473 LA complete bolt from an "E" prefix if anyone needs a bolt. I would rather trade it towards a good LA stock or chassis for a 338 sherman build I am doing. It may have been cycled 30 times in its reciever before I replaced it with a fluted bolt w/ M16 extractor.

    Any Members from Ohio

+1 for Rayners. Tom and Carolyn are some of the nicest folks you will ever meet. They have a good schedule for different matches and a banquet at the end of the year. I drive there from Hillsboro at least once a year and stay locally to shoot for the week. If you go the week of a LR match, you...

    How to get into competition

It's amazing the knowledge you will get by just being at a match. You don't need to be competitive. I have a good time blaming my load, what I ate for breakfast, the solstice, my rifle, etc for my bad scores. If I could only talk someone into hiding near the plates with a hammer I'd have it made.

    How to get into competition

A varmint rifle with a faster twist, good scope w/ level, bipod with notched legs and swivel ability, rear bag, and almost any aftermarket chassis will get you into a local club match somewhere. Invest in a good thread protector also, some matches will require you not using a muzzle brake. Try...

    Hornady 88 gr stabilize

I've only had limited experience with 88's with 223AI and 22-250 AI. However, I will say that both had a good seating node when jumped .040". Surprised the heck out of me.
