    225 gr accubonds on elk

I haven't given up on the 300s but I need to do some test on expansion at long range. I like the way they shoot and they hold energy crazy far down range. I'm going to set up water jugs and wood at 900 yds. and see what they do.

    225 gr accubonds on elk

Accubonds are here to stay in my loads but I too wish for 338 Acubond long range bullets in heavy for caliber weights. In fact I wish for some of the current ABLR bullets to be available somewhere. I guess they must be loading a lot of ammo with them. I would like to try some 210 gr. ABLR in my...

    225 gr accubonds on elk

I've killed three elk with the 225 gr Accubond and five others with various other Accubond bullets in 30 and 375 cal. No matter how close or how far they are or whether they hit shoulder bone or just into the chest they will expand and penetrate in a linear fashion and put down the animal...

    Hello from Montana

Thank you. By the way I've read that the VLD hunting and the hybrid are both good. Which would you choose?

    Hello from Montana

Congratulations on the bull elk. The accubonds have been good for me but I never went with such a heavy bullet before. I'm going to try some 190 gr. Bergers in the 300 RUM and if they shoot accurately I'll hunt them this year. Thank you for the info. Wow 931 yards. Good shot indeed!:D

    Hello from Montana

I'm in Hamilton Montana now. Two years. I had a problem with a 300 gr accubond at 2825 fps in my 338 RUM. I hit an elk going over a ridge straight away angling loins toward heart. A 430 yard shot. I expected to find a dead elk in the quarter mile of low sage. No elk, no blood no animal in...

    Hello from Montana

Just signed up again after a couple of years of moving around. I'm trying to get into the long range hunting with my Ultra Mags and I found the Nosler Accubonds are good out to 5 or 600 yds but I want to go to a thousand. Are Berger the best?
