    .20BR project.

Hi, Had a few log in probs here but I am here again now. I do mean 20BR and not .22BR, the .20 is a much better performer in all areas, just run the ballistics, I was stunned when I did. For 50 grain bullets 1 in 9 in the normal twist and 1 in 12 for the 40 grainers. I am talking...

    Zeiss Reticles

Ziess primarily build hunting scopes where a heavier reticule is usually better as it gives better definition in low light. If you are mainly target shooting and prefer absolute accuracy then the croshair may be a better option for you but be warned croshairs are awfull to use in low light...

    Shortest Barrel length

Moderators do destroy the look and balance of a rifle without a doubt BUT they do protect hearing and enable hits to usually be seen at lower scope settings. I have one with and one without, usually the one with is the choice.

    Ziess rangefinder scope

That would be well over twice the price of the basic scope, I cannot think of a higher priced scope in Europe short of Night Vision gear. My first little Ziess cost me £400 ($600 ish) about 12 years ago, never regretted it though. It will sell but at that price not in any volume. A Leica...

    Ziess rangefinder scope

Just found this on the Ziess website, http://www.zeiss.de/C12567A80033F8E4/Contents-Frame/10F349B46B6E312641256A7300451C05 Bet the price is massive.

    Gun Storage

I store both shotguns and rifles horizontal and right way up, this gives a slight muzzell down effect allowing any oil in the bore of a shotgun to drain away from the action.

    down loadable targets

Here are a couple of links that will help. http://www.tnoutdoorsmen.com/targets.htm http://www.reloadbench.com/pdf.html Put rifle targets into a search engine produces lots of returns like those above, most are selling targets but some like these are free to download.

Thoought A-Maxs were tougher than V-Maxs

I have recently shot a fox with a 6mm Match Bullet and it had severe damage, it was a sideways front shoulder hit. I have also had some shot front on with VMAX's that looked like they had been hit with a rimfire. Velocity was about 3300fps.

    Compulsary Purchase Order

It sounds to me like your farmer has received very poor or even no legal advice. Had it been me I would have gone yelling to the press and anyone else that would publise the case. Building land for houses without planning is worth about 200K per acre, industrial is less.

PLEASE take a look at this link and let me know what you think

TM solution is great stuff and should do the job just fine. Wipe Out is as good but messier to use.

    Digital Scale and Accuracy

I also use the RCBS, it works fine but is slow to change when trickling up. For me the distance from the end of my finger to the mid joint on the trickler is about .1gr so I know about when I am there and I just have to wait for confirmation. The only down side is that mine must have a brand...

    steyr mannlicher

I have had a steyr mannlicher varmint in 22.250 for about 10 years, I bought it new. It is fitted with Apel swing off mounts and has been fitted with an assortment of decent scopes from Ziess through to Leupold. It has a VERY long throat, all factory ammo goes to about 3 inches (yes three...

Dailing in the scope for wind

I have a wind speed meter and use it all of the time with a drop chart. Like you I used to just aim off but after a few stupid fox misses I now click the drift. I have used the JBM programme attached recently, it shows you clicks for windage, I find it better than quicktarget which only shows...

    Tanzania photos

Beautifull pictures and superb camera work, thanks for sharing. I have a daughter who at this moment is climing Mount Killimanjaro in Tanzania, next week she is on safari for a day or so, I hope she see's even some of the animals you did, thanks again.

Ballistics Programs (Web based & Downloadable)

Thanks Dave, I tended to use Quicktarget for making a drop chart but the Eskimo JMB one is better as it will show clicks for windage as opposed to the actual amount of drift in inches,
