Anyone had any experience on deer at close range with 6.5mm 140 gr berger VLD hunting bullets?? Being designed mainly for long range just curious on what they will do up close.

I've always had good luck with Nosler ballistic tips at that distance. Always a good exit and clean kill on a broadside shot. Bergers will prob not exit. Partitions are very accurate and will exit but are a little too hard for my liking especially at 400 yards. Hornady Amax is also another good...

WTB 6.5mm hornady 140 gr Sp flat base interlock. Also interested in buying 120 or 140 gr rem core lokts and Berger VLD hunting bullets.
