Have you chrono’d your load to see what your FPS is? I shoot 7mm mag a lot and typically I’ll see my rounds start walking left or right whenever I let my barrel heat up too much.
I don’t own the HSLR but close to it with the HST. I personally think it’s a solid optic and has been extremely good for me. I think you would enjoy either scope for hunting with your .280AI
I recently started using the 250 in a few of my loads in 7mm rem mag and was very surprised at the results on my chrono. Lowest SD and ES I personally have ever had. Thought maybe it was just luck but I tried them again 2 different times afterwards and still had the same great results.
