Have to ask the obvious question(s) here since you asked about getting new reloading equipment-- Are you shooting ammo that you loaded? Are you shooting the exact same ammo each time? What kind of scope, and how high is it mounted?

I use Berger VDL hunting 115gr in my 6-284 with great success--they preform well on game and are still precision shooters for long range....

I will hazard an opinion on the above: With a micrometer top on the Wilson's, I think you will find that the Redding's are no better, and on most 7/8 die presses they are not as precise (overall). Also the "large base to ogive differences" is puzzling, unless you are just talking about...
