I'm surprised no one mentioned Starrett dial caliper excellent caliper used to be made in america not sure anymore haven't been in the business for a few years now. They are very accurate.
I reload for 2 7mm08s, both like the nosler 120 gr hunting bullets. I'm pushing them at a bit over 3000 fps out of a 20 in. barrel crono at 50 degrees temp. plenty accurate and dropped a nice 4X5 drt last year in northern Wa. just make a good shot and the bullet will do the rest.
I got a venture 7mm08, it shoots great. I put a leup vx3 4 1/2 to 14 w/cds reticle. great combo. less then moa at 100 yds. shooting 120 gr nosler hunter bullets at 3ooo plus fps. If you buy one you won't be disappointed.
my choice would be 7mm08. I like shooting a lot of ammo and I like the recoil of this weapon. I've owned many different calibers over the years and this is as easy of weapon I've ever had the pleasure of shooting. I will just add to shoot both weapons if you have the option before buying, choose...
