Yes I have two Near Mfg. bases. (see tactical scope mounts post for pic, page 2) What I liked about Richards bases is the service, quality and price. I also liked the fact he does not remove a strip of metal from the top of the rail. [ 12-09-2003: Message edited by: Farmboy ]

Both of my rifles have http://www.nearmanufacturing.com/ bases and Leupold Mark4 rings. I did not lap either. One is .300WM the other .308, both used for hunting and competitions. Using a cheaper system for me is not worth it.
