A word of warning everyone, my hybrid 6.5-277 brass kind of trashed my barrel, put a gouge in the chamber below the 0.200" line. Edit: This was from only 233 rounds fired. Extraction is definitely more difficult than it should be, as is sizing these cases. Here's a comment on this from Frank...

You're going to hear a lot of Howard Leight and Walker's. I have both and they're fine (gel pad upgrades are the way to go) but if you're shooting all day, Sordins Supreme Pro (also with gel pads) are the best.

It's bonded but soft, opens up quick it seems but that hasn't been a problem in my experience. To me it's a great all around hunting bullet as it's got a good BC, wide velocity window, and kills well. The usual knock is that it isn't very accurate, can confirm it's not too accurate in my Grendel...

I've used 129 ABLRs super slow (2300 fps or so at the muzzle) from my 6.5 Grendel on ~10 whitetail and 7mm 168's at 2850 fps from my 284 Win on 3 elk. In all cases they've passed right through, never recovered a bullet, but he animals dropped well. Ranges were 20 - 200 yds.

Eh, for $400 vs $479 that I got my Garmin for I'm happy with my choice. Garmins are made in Taiwan, so the CCP isn't getting a cut.

277 really is too long of a case to seat heavies, but it does work well for forming 6.5 CM. I've gotten 140's up to 2820 from my 20" barrel without stepping on it too hard. You'd be fine at 1400 with a longer barrel.

I use 168 ABLRs in my .284 and they're fantastic. Took three elk with them.

Maybe dumb questions, but: when you sized, did you use the neck button? And did you debur the new (pulled?) brass?

I'll also add I've bought hybrid cases from AR at least four different times, and there was significant variation among lots (weight, heat treat, velocity with same charges). So if you're diving in, buy all you think you'll want at once.
