A friend told me that the pre 2018 Bergaras has the holes drilled ina different position. Mine being 2019/20, apparently the holes are not exactly in the same place. So, just maybe, the base I got was for a pre 2018. Sounds like it could be

I just bought a Bergara Premiere Mountain 2.0 in 6.5 PRC. Bergara was out of scope bases, so I bought one from Talley. As you can see in the pics, it doesnt fit. The holes don't match. I just ordered another one for a 700 Rem Short Action, but haven't gotten it yet. Any idea why this Talley base...

I don’t have a 6.5 CM because I have two 6.5 PRCs. It’s a better caliber, 150-200 faster than the Creed. I also have several 308s. For what you want, I would go with the 308. It makes a bigger hole on hogs.

THat's good to know. I wouldn't want to spend too much more money on it. I'm just beginning to reload for it, and I have maintained the OAL of 2.960". I haven't tried reloading haevier and longer bullets. I have found the 140gr to be a great bullet for caliber so far.
