Looking to do a budget build. Thinking about a 6.5 PRC on a 307 action, but they don’t offer a short action with a magnum bolt face. Can I use the long action? Not planning on using a box magazine so bottom metal shouldn’t be a problem. I’m more concerned with the bullets feeding.

I replaced the barrel on my dad’s ruger .300 win. It was 500 yard rifle before but know I can shoot 1k+ yards. Best decision I made.

I’ve never thought about waterproof socks before. I’ve always had a good waterproof boot (I use Zamberlans, but my friends use Kenetreks and Crispis and they have no complaints)
