After reading some reviews on this site I went ahead and ordered a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44. Even if I have enough adjustment in the scope should I still use a 20 moa base? This is all new to me. Thanks

I have purchased a new savage model 12 BVSS, 22-250. Most of my shots will be less than 300 yds but would like the capability to shoot 500. I am looking at the bushnell elite 4200 line. Just need some advice on magnifacation, at the high end is x16 enough or should I go up to the x24? Leaning...
