I have .308 Savage 10fp, and I want to make some hand loads for it. Now everyone I talk too say's to shoot 168 or 175gr ammo. But the 150gr FMJBT have more velocity and less drop. If I reloaded Hornady FMJBT would they preform well at 400 too 600 yards. Saying that, my range is only 600 yards...

Well for your bi-pod I recommend the Blackhawk 6 inch to 9 inch its great. The battle between the 223 and 22-250 will live on but I recommend the 22-250 for more range even though the cost of 22-250 is more I like it better. I've shot 600 yards with my 22-250 in 5 inch groups so your choice.gun)

gun)Well im new at the long range shooting but with my 22-250 I've shot 600 yards several times in less than a 5inch group with regular Hornady 50 grain V-MAX. But my gun is not custom its is only factory hunting barrel with glass bed stock its pretty impressive.
