I've reloaded hundreds of rounds with Weatherby and Norma brass and consider them on the same quality level with Lapua. Not even familiar with the Peterson or ADG.

For varmints I would even consider a .22 Magnum. I'm 74 and used my Winchester 290 .22LR for almost 60 of those years for varmints like ground hogs and muskrats.. Had it sited in at 100 yds. Just put me a new scope on it this year.

Heck, I've had new large magnum CCI primers misfire. I have always been leery of something like that and this is the first time I've seen any one experiment with it. Great info for this forum and a good topic with the primer issues.

It appears to me that you already have all you need to meet your objectives with the rifles you have. Now if its just a new rifle your wanting I would perhaps recommend a .338 caliber either Weatherby Mark 5 or Browning BAR with emphasis on the BAR. Happy hunting.
