I think, that you have to adjust it with the screw behind the set trigger. It should be able to adjust as low as 1 oz trigger pull. Also the rifle has to be cocked! The rear and set trigger will always work, but the bolt is only released, when cocked.

Hi, I use the hornady 90 gr XTP above 14 grains 5744 in a 7.5 swiss with very good results. Due to the larger case a 30/06 would probably need something between 18 - 22 grains. I think, yotes won't like that!
