A transplanted Texan from South Texas. I've lived in Colorado, South Dakota, Kentucky, Virginia, Iowa, Arizona, and now Washington state. I've been going hunting since I was 3 with dad and grandfather, and went on my first hunt when I was 9 tagging a West Texas doe.
Now that I'm in the Pacific Northwest, I've started hunting elk in addition to whitetail deer, and added blacktail and mule deer to my ovid pursuits.
As a shooter, I'm fond of odd cartridges such as the .340 and .240 Weatherby Mags, but have killed more deer with my early '80s Winchester Model 70 Carbine in .270 Win than anything else.
