My 2 cents would be either a 243 Win or a 7mm-08. Cannot go wrong with them. The 7mm-08 would be good one for you if you decide to hunt elk later .

I would seriously look at 280AI. You won’t be disappointed. More and more rifle manufacturers are making rifles for it. Load it light for antelope and big enough for moose.

I shot my 4X4 muley with my 243 No1 at 167yds, with the bergers 95gr hvld, recovered the jacket on the opposite side between the skin and hide. Very impressed with the bullet. :D
