I have the older 3.0 from Mack Bros and the spacer is permanently stuck. I can still get the baffles out though. I put a silicone cork in mine and fill it with Boretech over night then in the sonic cleaner and it comes out real clean.

On quality barrels I say no except that I shoot them until they speed up before doing load any development other than seating depth.

I have tried the three top brands and have been disappointed with the accuracy and inconsistencies of all three. It wasn't until I upgraded to the autotrickler V3 that I found one that was accurate and dependable. I use an A&D scale with mine.
