The good thing about the Vortex PST is the warranty.....which you will be using a lot. Speaking from experience. Sold my PST and went with the SHV. Quality and Glass are a huge upgrade over the PST.

Vortex might not break the bank but they will break your patience and your will to live.

If you were shooting the AMAX well, try the ELD-M. The ELD-x is a different bullet than the AMAX. I shot the 162 AMAX in my 7RM too, with H1000 and it shot great. Switched to the ELD-M and it shoots even better with the exact same load 69.5 grains Hornady Brass 2.70 COAL (Ogive to base) 3125...

Where are you buying Lapua 300WM brass? They don't list it as one of their offerings on their website.

My first intuition is that Sig is not actually making their own brass. Most likely they are re-branding some other MFG's brass. Similar to the Nosler/Norma relationship. They could be inspecting and culling brass though before rebagging it and marking it up.

I have 300 WM that I am using Nosler brass and fairly stiff loads. I have about 6 firings on the brass and still have no need to trim. It has not grown at all. I using full length dies and bumping the shoulder .002. Is this common? I had the the head space on the barrel set with my Nosler...

it takes less than 5 minutes to put brass, some water, soap and lemonshine or vinager in the tumbler and let it run. Then 1 hour in an old $10 EBAY food dehydrator. Primer pockets are clean, which is what I really care about and all resizing lube is gone.

If I had one I would still have it throw a .5 grain light and trickle up. What's the hurry?

I clean the barrels on my rifles every 200-300 rounds. Even then, I only use 30 minutes of bore foam, then a few strokes of a nylon brush, followed by a few patches.

Most apps let you use all 3 BC's. No need to make adustments.
