I have a GAP 7mm wsm that Chris built and it shoots the 175 SMks great. My favorite load right now it 62 grains of RL22 with 175 SMKs. I tried Retumbo and it shot great also. George recommends 64 grains of H4831SC but it is finally getting cool enough in MS to try that load!

I have a GAP 7mm wsm that Chris Matthews built and it shoots 175 SMKs incredible. The gun shoots 2 inch groups at 700 yards and I am glad that I built it over the 300 WSM. That is my opinion and experience.

Does anyone have any knowledge on the barrel life I can expect from a 7mm wsm with a Schneider barrel?

The 15g was a typo and I am glad I could provide some laughing points. I was talking about the 175 SMKs.

I have a 308 GAP and a 7mm WSM GAP.There is no comparison at long ranges. The 7mm wsm at long ranges is an awesome gun. Get the 7mm and shoot the high BC 15 SMKs.
