    Cooking Hogs?

I’m mostly a reader on this site, but every now and then you suck me in to comment. I’m a fan of hunting hogs and cook all that I kill. I’m originally from Louisiana and I love to cook Cajun food. In LA, I could always get really good tasso which is a spicy and smoky seasoning meat. I have...

    2023 Meat Pole

Long time lurker and seldom poster here. I do enjoy the information and hunting tales shared on this forum. I live and hunt in the SE, so I don’t hunt long range. There is just no opportunity for it here. Anyway, I was lucky to get to hunt with my cousins on public land in NW Alabama over...

Hornady 250 SST ML Bullet Disappointed

Two years ago I shot a nice boar hog at about 20 yds. I shot him with my pistol loaded with 85 grains of 777 and the 250 gr Hornady SST’s I recovered this bullet.

    Rifle blueing fix

This guy has some good videos related to restoring rusted firearms. Although I have not personally tried the boiling, it appears he gets good results.

    Information needed on gun powder

If I am reading the TCCI column on your second pic, it lists IMR 8208. I would definitely take that as an ID.

Occasional pierced primer with Lapua SP

I do a lot of reading here, just trying to learn from the more experienced. Within the last week or so there was another thread on a very similar topic. The consensus on that thread seemed to be that the loads were under pressured and caused the primer to blow before the shoulder expanded and...

Poison Ivy - How to Prevent Rash

I am new to this forum. After browsing a bit, it looks like some interesting stuff and knowledgeable people on here. I am very allergic to poison ivy and have had it many times over the years. I have found that washing up with a pumice cleaner like Go-Jo or Fast Orange is the best plan for me...
