Sorry, typed that incorrectly. 1/4 turn past, I have gone up to 1/2 turn in my old press. If I have to go to 1/4 turn in my co-ax press there is a problem with the die not sizing enough. You are correct.

So, on the standard shell holder that you have, how are you setting up the sizing die? Raise your Ram up all the way to the top of the stroke (highest point), screw the die down until it touches, then lower the Ram to its lowest point (handle in resting normal position), screw die into press...

What caliber? It isn’t just factory guns. I have had a couple custom barrels chambered that have had issues. One the throat area was tight because reamer wore. The other had a tight throat and was under spec at the web because reamer was worn (2 different gun smiths). Both issues were resolved...

Sorry about the confusion on Redding shell holders (you are correct), if your die isn’t sizing enough they will not help you, because they add a .002” increase in headspace for each shell holder in the set of 5 (+.002” - +.010”).

I’ve read through the whole thread and looked at responses. Good info. Question: Did all the brass measure the same before you bumped them back? And were they all shot with the same powder charge? If you were working up loads and some brass “stretched” more than others due to a hotter load...

I have a 6GT I had built by GA Precision about a year and a half ago. They gave me the load to try and said it has shot well in every 6GT they have shot. Damned if they weren’t right. No recoil, easy to load for and fun to shoot, what’s not to like.
